Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Clinic – Blacksburg, VA

Our bodies naturally want to be in a state of well being and homeostatic balance. When we can’t achieve that balance our health is affected as the body tries to regain its footing. We are complex organisms living in busy times, reacting to internal factors such as diet, exercise, rest and emotions and external factors such as weather, trauma, and illness. All of these factors, along with stress, play a role in our health and well being.

Our goal is to holistically help you restore balance to mind, body and spirit through the time-tested techniques of Chinese Medicine. Chinese medicine is focused on using the body’s inherent qualities to regain health, or, stated another way, to get the body to heal itself. Our acupuncture clinic, located in Blacksburg, VA for over 30 years will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan using acupuncture and other modalities as appropriate such as moxibustion, cupping, tuina, herbal medicine and dietary therapy. These techniques have been shown to be safe and effective for a wide range of conditions such as stress, insomnia, emotional disorders, seasonal allergies, physical injuries, pain and gynecological issues. Chinese medicine is also a wonderful preventative tool to help you stay healthy and well.

Typical issues treated include, but are not limited to, back pain/sciatica, knee and shoulder pain, sports injuries, migraine headaches, fertility issues, allergy symptoms, ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease, Sjogren’s syndrome, stress and overall health.
