Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture  – Blacksburg, VA

Welcome to Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Clinic in Blacksburg, VA. Founded by Robert Smith, and then operated by Jen Schaeffer, the clinic is currently operated by Mike Denbow who is pleased to continue with the clinic’s mission of helping the community be healthy and well.

Our bodies naturally want to be in a state of well being and homeostatic balance. When we can’t achieve that balance our health is affected as the body tries to regain its footing. We are complex organisms living in busy times, reacting to internal factors such as diet, exercise, rest and emotions and external factors such as weather, trauma, and illness. All of these factors, along with stress, play a role in our health and well being.

Our goal is to holistically help you restore balance to mind, body and spirit through the time-tested techniques of Chinese Medicine. Chinese medicine is focused on using the body’s inherent qualities to regain health, or, stated another way, to get the body to heal itself. Our acupuncture clinic, located in Blacksburg,VA will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan using acupuncture and other modalities as appropriate such as moxabustion, cupping, tui na, herbal medicine and dietary therapy. These techniques have been shown to be safe and effective for a wide range of conditions such as stress, insomnia, emotional disorders, seasonal allergies, physical injuries, pain and gynecological issues. Chinese medicine is also a wonderful preventative tool to help you stay healthy and well.

We will be happy to talk with you about how we can help you be your best self.
